How Does the WISY WFF 100 Work?
Rainwater from the rooftop enters the WFF 100 filter through the inlet pipe.
Inside the filter, the specially designed stainless-steel filter insert separates the rainwater from dirt and debris.
Filtered rainwater is directed towards the rainwater storage tank, while dirt and a small quantity of rinsing water are discharged towards the drainage or soakaway system.
This continuous filtration principle allows the system to operate automatically whenever it rains.
Key Features of WISY WFF 100
Stainless-Steel Fine Filter
The WFF 100 uses a durable stainless-steel filter insert. Filter mesh options include approximately 0.28 mm and 0.44 mm, depending on the selected version.
Self-Cleaning Filtration Principle
The vortex filtration design continuously carries separated dirt towards the drain, helping reduce the amount of manual cleaning required.
Suitable for Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting
WISY recommends the WFF 100 for roof areas of up to approximately 200 m², although the actual suitable roof area depends on rainfall intensity, pipe gradient and system design.
Underground or Above-Ground Installation
The WFF 100 can be installed in horizontal rainwater pipelines either underground or in suitable above-ground applications.
Optional Extension Tube
An optional extension tube can be used where the inspection opening needs to be brought closer to ground level.
Durable Construction
The filter housing is manufactured from polypropylene, while the fine filter insert is made from stainless steel for long service life.
Why Install a WISY WFF 100?
1. Cleaner Rainwater Storage
Filtering rainwater before it enters the tank helps prevent leaves, dirt and suspended particles from accumulating inside the storage tank.
2. Reduces Tank Maintenance
Less debris entering the tank means reduced sludge formation and easier periodic tank cleaning.
3. Protects Pumps and Equipment
Cleaner stored rainwater can help protect downstream equipment such as:
- Rainwater pumps
- Pressure pumps
- Irrigation systems
- Filters
- Valves
- Plumbing fixtures
4. Better Water Quality for Reuse
Properly filtered rainwater is more suitable for appropriate non-potable applications such as:
- Garden irrigation
- Landscape watering
- Toilet flushing
- Floor cleaning
- Vehicle washing
- General utility applications
- Industrial process-water applications, where suitably designed
5. Supports Sustainable Water Management
Rainwater harvesting helps reduce unnecessary consumption of groundwater and municipal water for applications that do not require drinking-quality water.
